Seth C. Nix
Seth C. Nix is an experienced litigator who has dedicated his legal career to the personal injury field. Beginning as a student in law school, he spent more than two years clerking for one of Jacksonville’s best-known personal injury law firms. After being admitted to the Florida Bar, Seth moved to the defense side of personal injury where he gained invaluable experience litigating a variety of cases including motor vehicle accidents, motorcycle accidents, bicycle accidents, pedestrian accidents, trucking accidents, slip and falls accidents, dog bites, defective products, and wrongful deaths. In 2016, Seth left the defense side and joined Douglas & Douglas. He uses his experience and insight from the defense side to better serve persons injured by the negligence of others. Seth routinely handles a variety of personal injury cases. He has been recognized by the American Institute of Legal Advocates as a Rising Star in the field of personal injury law and is a member of The National Trial Lawyers Top 40 Under 40.
Seth attended undergraduate school at the University of South Carolina, where he was on the Dean’s List or President’s List every semester and graduated cum laude. He obtained his Juris Doctorate from Florida Coastal School of Law, where he graduated magna cum laude. During law school, Seth served as a teaching assistant for legal writing. He received awards for obtaining the highest grades in numerous courses including Florida Constitutional Law, Criminal Procedure, Persuasive Legal Writing, Family Law, Admiralty and Maritime Law, and Property Law II.
In his spare time, Seth enjoys spending time with his wife and their dog Ramsey, a chocolate lab mix. You can often find the three of them out on the river. Seth and his wife are avid Jaguars fans and often attend games. They enjoy travel and experiencing different cultures. Seth stays involved in his community and various charitable organizations. He is an active member of the Third Judicial Circuit Bar Association, Jacksonville Bar Association and Jacksonville Justice Association.
